Caught this guy like the title said on my first cast on my lunch break. Totally unexpected get a bass, let alone this size, since the pond I fish at lunch has skunked me except for one or two blue gills. Rain shower did pass through so maybe that was a good factor. Caught him on an Eagle Claw Telescopic pole I keep in the car on a Big Bites 2” Fat Grub with Road Runner jig. Thought I might get a small bass but not this 4.6lb guy. Not sure on the bass species if anyone have an idea by the pic?
