I was performing some general maintenance on my reel, and things were going well until I started reassembling. I’ve tried chat gpt, asked other fisherman, and cannot figure out how to fit the two pieces in my hand back into the reel. I know they control the release mechanism. Best bet is look up the model on YouTube for a cleaning or rebuild video. I did the same thing with a Shimano Citica recently and found a YouTube video that helped me get the last couple pieces right.
This is why it’s always a good idea to take pictures with your phone as you disassemble a reel. Anyway, this guy’s reel isn’t exactly the same as yours, but it should be close enough to get you in the ballpark. The trip lever and spring are clearly visible about 10 minutes in, so just fast-forward.
