Hey all! I’m running a 75-gallon tank with an FX4 filter and extra media in every tray. Right now I have:

• 10 Harlequin rasboras

• 10 Neon tetras

• 2 dwarf gouramis

• 3 kuhli loaches (although I only ever seem to spot one)

• 5 corydoras (they’re pretty shy, so I rarely see all of them)

• 4 angelfish

I’ve recently taken a liking to the angelfish and was considering adding 4 more. Would that be too much for a tank this size?

Angelfish do get to a pretty good size, I would definitely just stay with the initial 4 you have

I’d be less worried about the stocking and more worried about the angelfish eating the tetras and rasboras once they get big enough.

Having kept angels, my first concern is with the group dynamics of a small group of 4; sometimes they start picking on the weak one, especially if there’s only one female to fight over. I don’t think the tank is too small for the bio load of 8 angelfish, but they might look a little cramped when fully grown? Maybe? Idk I’d just keep an eye on the 4 and see if they’re bullying each other or not. Bigger groups are better usually more peaceful in my experience.

    Beautiful tank btw!

75 gallon with that many plants?!?! You could triple all your schooling fish and be totally fine. You definitely need more Corys – like 15 total at least. Same for the smaller fish like Harlequins.

Edit: your Corys are shy because they don’t feel safe! More Corys!!! 😀 😀 😀

What if I waited for all of them to pair off? If any show aggression to the none paired ones, I can then rehome them.
