I've got this pole for my birthday last year I caught a bass and a bunch of bluegill and etc but im trying to break in my pole to it's potential how should I rig this im in tx and trying to catch bigger fish. im going to Joe pool Sunday any ideas

Judging by the rod specs, it looks like that is a catfish rod. Put on some weight, a circle hook with a piece of shrimp/hot dog/cut bait, and send it.
