There’s already plastic weed guard there, kinda hard to see bc it’s white. I have never seen that black part. I see it’s connected to a rattle below. I wonder if it’s a left over tag end from manufacturing? I only say that bc 1, there’s already a weed guard and 2, if it’s not stiff it won’t provide any “guard” especially if it’s threaded on to the hook passed the point. 🤷♂️ maybe someone knows for reals bc I’m curious now.
