Not missing out on much with the java ferns lol there’s many other easy and much faster, bushier growing and imo nicer plants out there to choose from. 🙂 Floaters with long roots like frogbit or water lettuce would help a lot filling out the top. Valisneria all along the back would be nice too, and it grows very fast. Then there’s also tiger lotus, rotala, sessiliflora, an amazon sword would be awesome in here as they grow massive, hygrophila (which i see you alreafy have some of!) are all nice options. For the bottom-mid there’s crypts in all shapes, sizes and colors. I do however recommend using root tabs with all of them (except for the floaters ofc). Once they get a bit more established you can do some light liquid ferts, but only if you actually see deficiencies on them.
