Is there anyway to fix the anti-reverse on this reel? Its been a pain in the ass and messing with heavier reel-ins/drag. Maybe I’m an idiot, but I can’t seem to find the switch that usually does the trick. Had this combo for 10+ years, so it’s not the end of the world but I figured I’d ask around on here before shelving it.

Tbh I’m shocked it’s lasted that long! Shakespeare isn’t necessarily known for their reels, just the rods. Had one on a GX2 that nuked itself with moderate use after 2 years.
You got ten years? That’s a good run outta one. I’d get a cheaper reel from Walmart, maybe a 25$ Shimano sienna to replace it.
gonna have to take the reel apart and put back the ball bearing in the anti reverse… just buy a new reel and some line cuz that thing needs it!
