What is your experience with saltwater tanks? Are your local sculpins cold water species by chance? The sculpins in my local area are cold water, so that’s an extra layer of complexity that makes me not wanna try saltwater lol

I don’t know. If there’s a captive bred population maybe, but I’ve lived around them and they’re pretty prone to parasites. So wild caught isn’t a fun idea. Probably quarantine at least.

I’ve seen a person keep them before. I think they kept them at room temp in SoCal. I know for sure that they weren’t cooling the water.
The collection is kind of the tough part, depending on where you live. I know at least in CA, there are laws against taking fish you catch home alive.
