I often fish from the shore, but I usually only catch one or two fish in a whole day.

I never know if there are actually fish where I cast my line. On average, I cast more than a hundred times a day, but I still have no idea what the fish situation is like there.

Do you guys run into this kind of problem too, and how do you deal with it?

Well honestly I do exactly that but I look for shit to cast near like docks or moored boats or something. I always think of the crabs and lobsters and how they like to be near things and how they attract fish. Disclaimer-i dont catch alot of fish

  2. Google maps, nautical charting apps, understanding migration patterns depending on the species, evesdropping on other fishermans’ convos after they’ve had a couple, blind luck.

I usually just cast here and there, but I never know if there are actually fish around. I can’t tell where I should cast more and where less. And I never know if there’s a fish out there whenever I cast, I think fish are thinking, “If he does it one more time, I’ll bite.”
