Gonna start cycling my tank tomorrow 🙂 I got this 20 gallon tank and I’m thinking of building a community of fish in here (gonna build it slowly). I got everything I need (and im getting a filter and ammonia source tomorrow). Any ideas of what kind of fish would thrive in this tank? I’ve been researching some but haven’t completely decided on my roster

Hope you aren’t using that as the stand. 20 gallons is heavy.

i would not trust that stand it won’t hold up in the long run. trust me you don’t wanna risk a collapsing tank it’s not fun

I really enjoyed a school of cardinal tetras in my 20 long. I had 10, one pleco and some amano shramps
Just know that a 20g tank fully filled and decorated will weigh about 200lbs. Whatever you put it on top of, needs to be rated to handle well over 200 lbs (for safety). It also should be kept flat/level and preferably not overhanging even though it does have a frame which will help the structural integrity some, it’s best not to have the tank overhang.
