I’ve been bass fishing for over a decade now. I’ve fished both for fun and competitively. I’ve fished from the banks, kayaks, and boats. What I’ve learned over the years is that a lot of the time, simple is the funnest and most effective way to catch fish. A senko or creature bait Texas rigged will catch you a lot of fish. I fished on Easter from my paddle board and caught 12 bass all on a baby brush hawg with a small weight pinned against the hook eye.
All the lures and other baits are definitely effective to and have their times and places, but if keep it simple you’ll still catch fish and have fun! Pictures are of two of my fish from Sunday.

Right there with you. 1/8 oz jig and yellow tail is my go to.
Can you post pics of your typical lure setup?
