this is NOT my fish as i stated in a previous post i work with foster kids and this is one of their fish (they have 2 😞) and they mean well but they dont really know the full scope of keeping a betta (i have been trying to teach them but teens tend to think they know everything) , they have had this one for a few months now and i dont know if he is sick or not but i dont think he sposed to look like that

Definitely, this fish is incredibly INCREDIBLY unhappy. It needs a new setup, real plants, at least 5 gallons but 10 is even better. And the tank itself needs to cycle for at least two weeks before adding the fish.

Poor baby
If you switch up his tank, he might perk up. I wouldn’t say he is sick but maybe a little stressed. I like Stressgaurd by Seachem for help with slime coat issues and stuff like that. There’s a ton of SeaChem on Amazon. Definitely work on tank set up. His life will improve. 🙂
