Did some trout fishing at the stretch of river behind my Airbnb. Started off with the fly rod drying a bunch of different dry droppers and nymph rigs, then gave up on that went to lunch. when in went back after lunch I tried the over complicated nymph rigs again got tangled cut it all off and tied on a single dryfly and up came my first intentional trout on the fly(caught one before while salmon fishing). Its also my first fish on a dryfly

If you guys have any tips for fishing a shallow semi still water pool please give me advice. it’s a small pond type thing that fills from a creek and is dammed off with two smaller creeks leaving it but there is about a foot or two of water in it in the deeper parts. There is a small flow around the edges of it but not enough to drift anything properly. I’ve tried nymph rigs and dry droppers as well as stripping a wooly bugger along. I think the only reason I caught that one trout was because the wind was strong enough to push it and make it drift. The last picture is the view of the pool the blue lines are the creeks leading to it and out of it, the ones on the right are the input and the ones on the left is the output. Any tips or ideas would be much appreciated.
