Keep pulling it, just control the slack with your other hand, under no circumstances should you cut that unless you plan to respool the whole thing

Just start pulling it off however it will come til you get to a single line again.

What I like to do is with one hand, lightly squeeze the line around the spool and with the other hand, pull the long end of the line, trying not to make the loop section any longer. Pull until the loop section comes out.
