I got this betta a few months ago and I just love him. he's so fucking chill with my ember tetras and blue shrimp. I've never seen him flare either and made a bubble nest twice. I did a ton of research and cycled/tested my tank well before he came home. I've had reptiles and insects already but this guy (whom I named Tamtey) has the prime spot next to my desk.

Love them so much
It’s weird but their faces remind me of little water monkies. The fins remind me of ears. Can’t unsee lol
Oh and before people might ask: He has 20 gallons with lots of plants, tannins, a heater and filter and plantroots hanging in the water. I’ve done 5 waterchanges and even since then I’ve not had to do much thanks to the established microlife. I saw the 5 gallon horror and finrot stories…
