This was my betta about two months ago. Over the past week ish, he has started to look like this. This was taken today (the second picture). I don’t see him fin nipping or others nipping at him. My tank is a 10 gallon with mopani wood and plants as well as the fake anemone in the picture. The temp is currently at about 75-78. He is eating fine and acts fine. He just looks so pale and his fins are worrying me. Any advice on what to do or what this could be? I’m testing my water quality tomorrow. I keep up with weekly water changes of 20% as well as siphoning once a month. (Once a month because it stresses my fish out too much plus the plants help with that.) My filter is imagitarium for the 10 gallon tank. I also have an air circulation pump. The brown water is from tannins just btw. Another reason why I was confused about it being fin nipping because tannins help with stress.

The fake anemone looks like a coloured silicone one—I’ve seen LOTS of people against them because of the possibility that it leaks toxins into the water. Maybe try a wood hide or an easy live plant like anubias
