Hello!

I am new to the fish world and wanted to make sure I have done everything correctly for a betta.

I have a 5.5 gal (planning on a 10gal by end of year) and 6-7 live plant species. (Ofc biosubstrate too) Just wanted to get thoughts on overall layout. I am VERY on top of different chemicals and testing so not too worried about that. Done lots of research there!!!

I have added some more little nooks and hides for him since this picture. I’ve just got a bloom going on from stability and a great deal of tannins… so I can’t get a great picture as of right now.

Hated the heater that’s in this pic so I’ve already got another one.

Admittedly, I’ve spent SO much on this tank and different chemicals. I asked around- apparently I’ve spent more than most do on like a 20 gal 😞

Anything to add or take out? Thanks!

  1. Also- I’ve already taken out the weird blocks that the plants came in… rookie mistake that I fixed almost immediately lol

if the skiull doesnt release toxins then pretty good! i’d add plants in the background and warm /neutral light if u can change the colour! but if u like it that way perfect!
