









If this fish wasn't tagged by two ODFW offices I would have thought it was a huge resident. Obviously wasn't fishing for steelhead, caught it out of a very deep hole. According to the biologists there's only ~100 of these fish in the entire river.
This is a left maxillary clipped steelhead, one of the coolest things you can catch out here, especially in this stream!
Crazy colors on this guy, also included is a nice bull from a couple weeks ago and a very pretty resident redband. Spring is definitely underway, can't wait for the big hatches to really kick off

That’s rad! I got one of those there a month or two ago and was totally taken by surprise. It was chuuuuunky and I’m happy I was using stronger leader targeting bull trout. It took a big white streamer, which was pretty wild and exciting.
