I’ve had a 10 gallon tank for about 3 years now, and up until recently it’s been uninhabited other than plants and a few Nerite snails (which I only added a few months ago because algae). Well, a few weeks I finally decided I was ready to have a fish again (haven’t had them in 10 years and let’s just say I had no idea what I was doing back then), and decided I’d go back to my roots with a betta.

So everyone, meet Rainbow Fish! Named for looks only, because this fish is ridiculously greedy and is currently wreaking havoc on the copepods that have, up until now, been enjoying a peaceful existence free of predators.
