Well my Newport NV 55lb died on me the other day when I was on the lake lol.
I finally got around to taking the prop off and I had some lime on the shaft. I removed that and noticed the pin is bent.
The pin can still move the prop however so I decided to test it still and it didn’t move nor did I hear anything.
I noticed also the motor has a bit more of a gap on the right side in this picture. Is there anything else I should consider or is she gone? I think the line had to be in the prop for a couple of outings at least.

I’d start by clearing any tangled line/debris and replacing the bent pin. I highly doubt the motor itself is damaged.
I just broke a shear pin in my trolling motor for the first time yesterday, so this is timely and in the front of my mind from research mode lol
