Got out for about an hour this evening and came away with six different species (I believe) on a small paddletail. All caught in central Massachusetts in a (not large) pond. Is the bass in the first photo a rock bass? Had red eyes and looks about right to me.

First one is definitely a black bass(Micropterus) of some speches

The first one is probably just a weird largemouth. The only two black basses in Massachusetts are largemouth and smallmouth, and this one is definitely not a smallie.
1 and 3 are both largemouth. So 5 species, which is still cool.
I dunno if it’s the perspective but the shape on that perch(5) is sooooo goofy
