I just transferred my betta from a 2.5gallon tank to a 5gallon tank. It’s been about 18 hours since he’s been in the new tank. In my 5gallon tank, I put to thermometers in there. In the back of the tank near the heater and filter, I get 75.9 and another in the front of the tank at 77.5. I used the same heater that I had in my 2.5gallon. Do I need to upgrade to a bigger heater in my 5gallon.

What abt parameter
A different heater and filter as well depending on size and what it accommodates for. (Like wattage for heater and such.) Most likely you will need to upgrade both.
