is the Daiwa D-Shock II Spinning Combo – 7ft , 6 – 15 lb, Medium, 2pc rod good for bass fishing?

I have never used this model before. However Daiwa is one of the best brands. A 7′ medium action spinning rod/reel combo is ideally what you want to start with.
