He's been going through knot boot camp the past week, getting ready for his first season. He's got a Palomar knot on the hook to a 8lb fluorocarbon leader, Uni knot to a size 1 barrel swivel (we are learning), Palomar knot to 20lb braid.
Upon testing, the leader snapped with the knot holding. I gripped the swivel with pliers and pulled on the braid and the whole thing exploded.
I think he ties tight knots!
