Love micro buggers and this one seems to check all the boxes, especially during the early season and Hendrickson hatch. I tie a dry version and a soft hackle wetfly version using sparse hi-vis as an underwing. For all three I mix up a bit of dark gray emerger dubbing, a pinch of salmon ice dubbing and some rusty dry fly dubbing. For the bugger, I just use regular dry fly hackle. Tie them in sizes 10 -14. They just plain work and I can fish them in a variety of ways. I have a small fly box with just these and the dry and wet fly versions and often it's the only box I take – or need – for an afternoon on the river.
