I play the same game with my plecos. It always starts off with the excitement and purchase of an expensive fish. Put fish in tank, and then question your purchase for (insert months here) until they randomly resurface for an algae wafer and dissapear again for (insert months here).

He will come out more when he gets to a bigger size
All my plecs are quiet till they grow a few inches or more then they are out alot more
