North cascades. Deep pool, submerged trees and boulders, tons of structure. Very fishy water but it has skunked me 4-5 times in a row now. I’ve thrown about everything in my box at it and no luck. I think my biggest issue is getting deep enough with the fast current. Any recommendations? Should I go sink tip? Split shot? Streamers? Nymphs? Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

That looks super clear so probably spooking them, hide in a bush when casting or fish it at night 😂 but whatever you do start from the furthest downstream as you can and work your way up
Your going to want to put your fly right into that log. Get it hooked deep. Spend 10 minutes trying different angles to get it unstuck. Give up and pull hard. Break not the leader for whatever reason, but your fly line above your loop. Toss your rod onto the bank breaking the tip.
Have fun and tight lines.

Super clean and clear water. Definitely sneak up to the edges and pay attention to your shadow (or better yet go on a cloudy/rainy day. Would start with nymphs and a bunch of weight. Can you cast from behind the rock in the middle over to that deep pool? Stay hidden
north cascades is a fall/winter fishery from what i have gathered. not sure how productive it is going to be during spring and summer. I’m starting to look east of the cascades right now
Streamers with a sink tip or a split shot right above it. Hit that water around the structure, let it sink and vary your retrieval speed
Those branches look promising… aim just beneath them so you definitely hit them, then scare all the fish away by trying to un-snag it, always works for me.
that looks like trout heaven
I’ve found very few trout on the west side of the cascades. Maybe some dinks, maybe 1 12+ inch fish every mile. I’ve always heard our runoff is too great to retain a decent trout population. Still nice to be outside though
Looks spoony
Huck meat
Swim across and fish it from the other bank
Have you seen fish in there? With super clear water I would stick to the darker/deeper areas, overhangs, etc. Yes to split shot to get down deeper.
Quietly😂👍
Would recommend 4-6 beers, play the trout flute, feel the flow
