When I first started it was a prince nymph. Now it’s this bad boy. I always try something other than this when I first get out but if I’m not having luck, I always switch to a blowtorch. Usually pink, sometimes bright green. I know it will produce every time.

Dries are my confidence fly for trout and bass, bright streamers for pickerel, and dries or woolly buggers for panfish. Nymphing I have not been able to figure out.

Simi-seal leeches catch everything from trout to bass to sunfish to catfish. Drift, swing, strip. Always have some onboard.

Egan’s Frenchie is my usual go-to. Just a great, buggy nymph.
I’m lucky to live where the cutthroat are hungry, but most days out start with.. “what size orange stimmy are you putting on?”
