I think this might be a trophy black crappie for the places I fish, which is Upstate NY. We don’t have the biggest crappie. Caught on a green paddletail on a jig head while bank fishing for largemouth/pickerel. Also my first ever Crappie. Is this a Trophy size for Upstate NY? I dont know much about crappie besides that they’re good eating. Didn’t keep this one though.

Comparison is the death of happiness… Nice fish op. Tough to tell with no scale for weight. Also not that I care but when you hold a fish that way it’s hard for people to gauge the size! So idk if anyone is gonna have true know how if this is a huge crappie for your state. It does look like a slab tho! Tight lines bro!
