Packing for my trip, and decided to bring the KastKing 4-piece travel rod. It is an MH power, so it works for most water. Was thinking about what reel to bring. I have a Kastking Mg Ti and just got the new AL Ti. Bought the Mg Ti last year and used it heavily for 6 months, and it still feels great. So I had to get the AL Ti when it dropped. Put them side by side, and they perform pretty much the exact same. The AL Ti is super light too. I actually think the AL Ti has better build details and feels more solid. Travel bags get tossed around so I am taking the AL Ti. The aluminum frame just feels safer for the road. I fish with Daiwa and Shimano at home, and this reel fits right in. Saved some money buying the aluminum one, so I grabbed some extra Seaguar line and Zman baits. What reels do you guys run on travel rods?
