Hello! It's been around a few weeks and my betta fish has these strange ruffles for the edge of his tail. I'm a bit worried because they don't really match his tail style and a bit translucent (shown in second pic. Overall he's eating well and loves to swim around but on top of his strange tail one of those like dangly fins by like the under side of his head is curved inwards (shown in first pic)? Again it doesn't seem to affect him much it's just sometimes when he's swimming it catches the water flow and kinda swings around weird making him a bit irritated because it keeps hitting his pectoral fin.

The water is around

Kh:40mg/L

Gh:25mg/L

Ph:6.8

No ammonia, nitrates, nitrite, or chlorine

Also he doesn't have any tank mates just a few snails and lots of plants along with the heater (about 25C) and sponge going. Thank you for your help!

He looks healthy to me, although I’m a beginner. His fins just look extremely long and heavy. Did he previously have fin rot? Sometimes translucent fins are signs of regrowth, which in your case would be a good thing because it means he’s healthy enough to heal.
