Previous red catch was 5 years ago at 25 inches. Super excited to beat that by a mile. As an amateur, I don’t commit much hours to fishing but this was a proud moment. Pompano rig with shrimp and I didn’t even cast far. Bigger rod had mullet on fish finders rig that caught a baby black tip shark. Tells me seasonality tops everything else. 30 inches on the dot, released.

Very nice fish and congrats! Reds are funny sometimes. They are either extremely picky eaters or they will eat anything you put in front of them

Was out last week and had some good days. 4 over slot one day and big blues. Go out with Ernie Doshier on the Drumrunner. We did a half day and I was worn out. 12 40+” fish myself. Sight casting to huge schools. Super fun.
