I'm looking for something closest to the SALTIST MQ but I dont want to spend $450 AUD but I also want something better than the BG SW
I will mostly use this for Mulloway off the breakwall and so a 5k might not even be strong enough but I dont want a heavy 8k since I already have a 14k SALTIST MQ and daiwa use the same body from 8k to 14k.
Other uses will be shore jigging for bonito, kings, longies etc. And walking the beach for tailor (bluefish) and Australian salmon (not actually a salmon)
I'm also looking at the 5k opposed to the 6k because for the 22 CALDIA because its listed as much lighter (295 vs 430g) and it has a slightly higher retrieve, plus it fits 300m of PE 2.5 braid perfectly. If I'm recommended the 6k I'm all for it.
From what I know the 25 CALDIA is mainly built lighter which does interest me however with the overall size already being on the smaller end I'm worried that it wont have enough power.

Damn, I’m not gonna lie as a American this hurt my head a little
SW versions have stronger gears and will last longer under heavy use. I’m still using my Certate SW from around 2006 as there has been no reason to change. LT versions on the other hand may run into issues after repeated strong drag pulls.
Caldia sw id recommend instead of the lt version (basically a saltist mq). 6k or 5k pe 3 at least (sw) if your after metre plus jews. Built tougher then lt version
