Recently decided to spoil myself a bit and originally got a curado DC 150 on a JM signature series rod, medium heavy with extra fast action. after some learning I went back and changed things up a bit.
Learned that MH Extra fast is better for bigger hooks like a Texas rigged ewg or something like that. I got a moderate fast rod for all my crankbaits, swimbaits, and other moving lures or lures with small hooks.
planning on getting a separate catfishing setup as well. Hopefully a nice rod with a Shimano van ford or something like that.
New combos include the Shimano curado 201 DC on a st. croix mojo bass rod. the new Abu Garcia voltiq Revo sx on a JM signature series rod. they both feel amazing, smooth, and easy to cast.
the last pics are of my original rig that I used for everything and anything. Served me well.
