I'm selling my 7'6" heavy rod (currently a Googan Green series Muscle) to upgrade it and get something with cork handles as that's what I prefer. These are the two I'm torn between right now. I was wondering what everyone's options were on this or of you had better recommendations in this price point. I'll be using it for flipping jigs and Texas rigs in that 3/8-3/4 oz (I've got an extra-heavy rod for anything bigger) weight mostly but also using spinner baits and chatter baits. I'll add that I have a 7'medium heavy as my all around go to. And a 7' heavy rod as my froggin rod.
Sorry for the info dump. Thanks in advance. Any and all opinions/ advice are appreciated.

I’m about to buy one of each. The z2 for my tatula and the daiwa for slx xt
I’ve read the cashion handles have issues. Unsure if this model is part of that.
Despite having a few, I’m not a full cork man. To each their own. My chatter rod is a dobyns champion.
Separately, I do like daiwa tatula rods for their price and feel.
js go daiwa tbh always great rods
Ive heard the dxb bottom contact special is very tip heavy, but not bad, some say it doesnt feel very nice as far as build quality. Probably better sensitivity than the tatula xt but probably noticeably less nice feeling than the daiwa tatula cork. I own a 7’3″ H Tatula power versatile and its a great power and action for 3/8-3/4 Oz jigs and Texas rigs as well as a very capable frog rod because of how light it is. Its not a total broomstick, its exactly what id want out of an all around bottom contact focused rod. It has a fast action but when the rod is really loaded it leans mod fast. I would say that it isnt a true flipping stick though, but it works around most types of cover for me in california. Its $50 above your budget. But ill recommend it anyways.
I would go Cashion. I have a Element LT ultralight that I love.
OP, a while back I learned that a rod rated up to 3/4th oz simply isn’t enough backbone for me for spinners and chatters.
I mainly throw 3/8oz. Add a trailer and nearly all of my chatters and spinners are .7oz+.
This is one thing that confuses me about the American market. Many JDM models set their lure rating to 3/8-1.25 or 1.5oz for this application.
Just some food for thought. Not sure what size spinners/chatters you use and if you use trailers.
