Hey folks, this is my first big tank, got it commissioned by an aquascapist. I'm figuring out stocking ideas, and this is what I have:

30 Cardinal Tetra
10 Sterbai Cory
20 Otoclincus

I'm leaning towards 2 pairs of Apistogramma, but I'm also interested in a mated pair of Kribensis (Nigerian Reds). This is mostly stemming from the fact that I would like a bigger centrepiece fish, but my tank height is too short for Angels, and I think Pearl Gouramis look boring.

Any ideas?

How about a pair of neon blue Acaras? Ok so they’re biggish and cichlids, but they’re not crazy swimmers and they’re totally non-aggressive with the fish you already have. I also think they’d be right at home in that beautiful tank, and may even present you with babies, which are very saleable! I think that flash of blue in there would look wonderful!

Nonono! All bad ideas! I’ve got a better one: just le me live there xb

    Now serious:
Apistos are already cool centerpieces, aren’t they? You instead could try and take a risk with dwarf gouramis

Pygmy Cory are kind of a must for a soft acidic party that you are building there
And generally there are so many interesting species of cories with interesting colours so why have just one

Maybe also check other less popular tetras, cos there are a lot of cool, colourful and peaceful ones that would get along with the rest

Best of luck and all power to you, this makes me jealous in a good way:)

  3. Awesome tank scape. Just incredible.
How about 2-4 classic Dwarf Gouramis (Trichogaster lalius, formerly Colisa lalia)?

Loaches. Cos they’ll tear that shit right up. They don’t let me have nice things so noone else can. Joking this tank is one of the nicest looking scapes I’ve ever seen.
