Is it ok with the light like this?? If not I’ll just ditch it. Tank is near a window. I have silk plants and one Java fern.

What size is that tank? It looks way too small.

It may not be okay because ot the condensation. Light like this usually have to be above the water & they can’t really be getting wet. And when the light covers the hole, there is no ventilation if you get what I’m saying.
You need a light for your plants though. You should just get a glass lid for this tank.

Keep the water at that level or slightly lower and remove the lid to allow more light. Other than that I don’t see anything wrong there. You may want to lower the filter output more but only you can tell if the water output is too strong.

This is a topfin kit, no? It should have come with a light. I have one at the lid of my tank. Did yours break or not come with one? I believe it was in a long blank white box
