Aquariums: No co2 planted tank

I love looking at this tank, it's just got a filter, airstone and I occasionally add some plant liquid ferts.

It has thousands of blue shrimp, a betta named bob and one guppy male.

The red plant on the left was recently added from my high tech tank. There is clearly a big difference but I still think that the low tech tank has worked out great.
