I came home for lunch and seen this it was fine this morning I just set the hospital tank up two days ago because my betta fish just doesn’t seem to be doing good. I put in some Aquarium salt, tannins, and stress guard. (Was waiting for his treatment to get here) that’s why I came home for lunch it had been delivered and seen his tank looked this!! I think the new heater I got from Amazon might of caused it?! It smelled like straight up chemicals. And my fish looked dead for a second but then I seen him move so I moved him to the community tank asap. I feel like this might make his condition worse. My fish doesn’t seem to be doing any better and I think this probably made his condition worse. This is breaking my heart. I am going to re set it up what could I do to try and make sure he recovers? He was being very lethargic and not eating or swimming in a previous post you can see his fins were also ripped. I really want to save him.

I would make sure when you buy a new heater, that you read the description on or in the packaging that says whether the heater should be fully submerged in water or sticking out a bit. Heaters have different parts and instructions, so be extra careful with them. They have been known to do this, or blow up, etc from water damage or overheating from not being submerged enough. I wish you the best of luck and hope your betta gets better soon :(((
Looks like the carbon filter exploded or the bag fell apart… scoop some of this out in a glass and see what it looks like.
So strange!
I think you have just started the end of the world. That looks like a void
