This is stitch, he is a blue alien betta. I got him less than two months ago from coast gem. He has been doing great and has shown no signs of illness. I left this past Friday and Saturday for my buddies wedding out of town when I came back he was doing barrel rolls darting all around the tank. Worried as hell I turned off the heater and the filter pump in case it was a voltage leak or something. But he just kept on spiraling. I then set up a hospital tank with KanaPlex and a light bit of aquarium salt. I also put in some almond leaves to release tannins. At this point, I think he possibly hurt himself flaring at his reflection and maybe it’s neurological. What do you guys think? Is there anything that I should try/do? (Also there is a heater and a air stone with a small filter media bag over it as a make shift sponge filter and I’ve been doing a slow drip in and drip out water change for the last couple hours as to limit stress)
Also I only put my finger near the glass to try and see if he would spin for reference, I didn’t tap on it and I just wanted to provide some context of his situation. I saw him basically spiraling like that all around his tank.

Also, for reference, this is him a couple weeks ago.
Did anyone spray any pesticides near your place while you were away? That looks like a toxin issue imo.
For now keep the water really clean, no kanaplex, no nothing just tanins, and keep the water low so he can get air if needed (like 5 inches deep max) and keep an eye on him.
What are the water parameters? Is he the only inhabitant of the tank?
Here is his tank and here
