OH MY GOSH I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS A BABY BETTA.Â
Okay so in all honesty there’s so few resources for baby bettas it makes me so upset. But in my current experience, my baby Rainbow gained a BUNCH of color in a few days, and then lost it all. No idea how that happened but nothing else about him changed. He’s still growing and developing perfectly fine. My theory is that baby bettas will gain and lose color, but eventually gain most if not all of it by adulthood. What are you feeding him? His color started gaining a bunch when I did a mixture of frozen brine shrimp in the morning and then fluval bug bites at night. Pleaseeee update usss!!

That coloration is known as cellophane and are really common in marble spawns. Since they tend to come from marble spawns, there’s a chance they’ll gain color, but in my experience, some do stay colorless, especially when they don’t have spots of other color visible.
