This shit is frustrating. I finally got line onto my reel, but when I cast, I can’t reel the line back to recast. What in the actual hell am I doing wrong?

Maybe tighten your drag knob down.

Can you show a picture of the reel? Hard to say with a video from feet away

Can’t quite tell from the video, but are you struggling to flip the bail closed? On a new pole it can be a bit stiff. Work it by hand for the first bit and see if it loosens up.
And man, I love you bringing the doggo along. More owners should engage like this. Be careful though, they tend to wind up where you don’t expect them, and some dogs may perceive your lure as a bug and try to bite it.
Edit – I think I saw your spool spinning backwards, you may have the anti-release clicked off. There’s usually a lever on the front part of the reel, just beneath the armature, flip this and see if it helps.

I can’t really zoom in on your clip but it looks like you’re not closing your bail arm after you cast.
If you don’t close it, it’ll catch on the rod preventing it from turning.
