My tank is 10 gallons, heated, filtered, all water parameters are normal, heavily planted. It’s an old established tank.
I’ve had my betta for 10 months and he has never fallen sick before.
This morning he showed no interest in food, and was laying at the bottom of the tank. He lay at the bottom of the tank hidden amongst plants all day, and came up for air only in the evening before the lights turned off, which is why this is the only proper picture I was able to take.
His behaviour has been this –
~ lethargic, but not jittery
~ no interest in food
~ rapidly beating pectoral fins while laying at the bottom of the tank
~ no loss of colour yet or stress bands
~ he swam normally to the top to get air in the evening and is laying on a leaf at the top of the tank now after the lights turned off
I will provide any other missing information if I’ve missed something out.
Do I need to start Kanaplex treatment immediately or wait?
I’m freaking out.
