he is HUGE !!!!
i got him about 4 months ago as a skinny little guy , did not look so good and now he is GORGEOUS but also so fat 😂
he has great energy swims fine etc.
is something wrong with him or is he just chunky?
edit: his fins usually look bigger but he was being shy

If he is acting normal, probably just chunky. I feed my betta 4-6 pellets daily, fyi 😊

Size is determined by how much you’re feeding him. As long as you’re not overfeeding and he seems happy, should be okay. Might just be a big boy lol
If youre feeding low quality food it could be bloating him. What is he eating? How much? Do you fast, if so how often?
“X number of pellets per day” is an arbitrary number since it changes from fish to fish. It really depends on food type/quality, the fishes eating habits, its energy level, and personal experience with the fish.
My fish get like 15+ pellets a day and are both an ideal (thinish) weight. I dont even count i just give them a pinch and they eat what they want. Thats also because i have bioactive tanks and snails to eat anything left over.
Try buying high quality food! Theres plenty of lists on this app with what to get and what to avoid. I use Omega one, Bug Bites, and occasionally dried snacks and frozen brine shrimp. Watch your fishes weight and bloating anf adjust as needed.
