Hey all. Does anyone have any experience with these pliers? They have all the features I want in pliers but I’m not super familiar with the pliers market. Any advice is appreciated. If you have another option that’s under 50 bucks I’d appreciate it. Thanks!!

Honestly, pliers are a commodity item. I personally buy several cheap aluminum pliers and keep one in each of my fishing bags, my rigging table and one in my car.

The brand doesn’t matter – for my use case they just need a split ring opener tip and a cutter capable of cutting braid.

  2. Those are ok for split rings, not good for hook removal. If you want kastking pliers, I’d use their G.7” intimidator straight nose pliers with braid cutters. I’ve had the same year for almost 6 years now.

I have [these ones from kastking.](https://kastking.com/products/kastking-cutthroat-7-fishing-pliers) They’re solid as hell and I do enjoy them. I use them wading.

I also have [these ones from Danco.](https://www.amazon.com/danco-Aluminum-Fishing-Sheath-Saltwater/dp/B0F4BDVC3L?ref_=ast_sto_dp) I like these much better. The stubby nose fit my PFD perfectly. If I was spending $50, I’d go with a pair of Dancos for sure. Some of them are well above $50 but even the lesser cost ones are great.
