Freshwater tank, it holds its shape when I take it out and it has the texture of really solid jelly. Never seen anything like this before, doesn’t look like any algae I’ve ever encountered. Thought it kinda looks like a sponge? I kinda like it but I want to make sure it’s not harmful to my fish.
edit: I mean a freshwater sponge

I’ve been doing this for a long time and I’ve never seen anything quite like that either. That’s pretty cool. Hope it is a freshwater sponge, that would be a neat thing to raise
I had some of that growing and I’m like 90% it’s freshwater sponge. Very hard to keep alive but will spread if you let it grow for a while. I was going to post a pic but it’s way to far down the pic folder.
