I got a Siamese fighting fish as present today and I want to take good care of it any tips? And what type of tank do you recommend because I got it in a small glass and I want to give it a bigger and nicer place to live in ☺️

You’ll need at least 5 gallons for the tank, a filter, a heater, live plants, and a liquid water test kit. For more info, check the caresheet that’s linked on this sub.
Not your fault but whoever gave you this is a dickhead
Bro don’t forgot to add almond leaves in the water of the new tank to lower the ph to make bettas more comfortable
you should go to the pinned posts and look for the “betta care sheet”. you’re going to need to do a fish-in cycle. good luck! if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask.
tetra tropical tanks are usually not that much money and come with filter and heater sometimes light, gravel and hiding spots are important valisneria is a great root plant (needs to be buried) that absorbs nitrate like crazy and it grows and spreads across a healthy tank very quickly you could buy just one little bunch from an aquarium shop and it would grow across 30L of a healthy enriching tank in about 3 months maybe more it’s also cheap since it’squite easy to grow
I would recommend getting the biggest tank you can afford, minimum 5g/18L – buy the cheapest tank you can find and invest in plants, a good filter, and equipment. Trust me it’s gonna be A LOT more expensive than you think it is.
hey op, i looked a bit but it’s tough to find aquarium stuff in your country for an english speaker. https://shamimpetzone.com/fish.html#aquarium-tanks-and-sets this site has a 20L cube set with a filter and light that should work for your situation. you will also need a heater and a bottle of Prime or any other dechlorinator. good luck!
I had the same one groomed very well lived for a year and 2 months in a bowl
Njoy your time with him
