He has this growth right on the side of his face. No change in behavior that I can tell, good appetite, active, not very old.

To add detail, he’s in a tank that’s been established over a year but I’ve only had him a few months. It’s a heavily planted 10gallon tank, solid parameters, frequent water changes. No tank mates except some pest snails. Feed daily, but bites, mysis shrimp or betta pellets.
