Wanted some feedback on this configuration as a first baitcaster for me.

Cast right handed (dominate side) and reel left handed. That makes the most sense to me, at least.

I want this setup to be my go to do it all rod for bass fishing here in Southwest Florida.

Give me some feedback, I need it!

The only suggestion I have is to go and feel out left handed reeling. Swap the handle on your spinning reel if you don’t already have it on the left. If yo don’t have a fishing reel already to do this with go to the store and feel it out. The whole reel with the left because your right handed thing isn’t true for everyone.
Besides that I have and slx dc and it’s badass I only birdsnest when I forget to switch settings when it gets windy so that’s user error. My rod is a carbon lite from bass pro 7’ MH and I like it so far. Yours isn’t that far off. Just go for it.

For a mostly do it all rod I like to lean toward medium power rods. Medium heavy can work but often are not as sensitive and I feel like I lose a bit of finesse with them. If your spinning rod is medium power then the medium heavy baitcaster is a great companion.

While I can do most things with either hand fishing is not one of them. I tried reeling bait casters right handed and it was all so awkward and switched to left handed reels.
