My Betta is about to get glow up from a 2.5g monstrosity of a tank, to a 10g planted tank… with friends!
The new tank has been cycling for nearly 2 months. All parameter tests came back ideal.
I added 6 shrimp and 2 snails last night. Today, they have all found hiding places (they like to hang out behind the driftwood centerpiece).
Google is telling me I have to wait a week before adding my Betta…
Is that true?
Can I add him now since it's a brand new environment? Or do the shrimp need more time to stake their claim?
*sorry for the glare in the pic. No matter the angle, couldn't get ride of it.

Your tank is gorgeous! If everything is settled parameter wise I don’t see a single reason to not add your betta now. Shrimp aren’t really the ones you have to look out for with territory issues so you should be just fine! If they’re small enough to be consumed though I’d keep an eye on your buddy to make sure he’s not developed a bloodlust and is after them.
